KY型液压扩眼器是一种新型的钻井或修井用液压可变径扩眼器，该液压扩眼器是通过井口控制泥浆泵开关调节钻柱水眼压降的操作，实现刀翼的张开和收回，即开泵时利用泵压推动活塞克服弹簧推力上行，带动刀翼在扩眼器壳体的滑槽内向上滑动张开，当停泵或上提钻具时，在弹簧推力和井壁摩擦力的作用下刀翼在扩眼器壳体的滑槽内向下滑动收回，达到变径和扩眼的目的，以防止起下钻时发生遇阻或遇卡现象发生。该扩眼器结构合理，耐磨性好，扩眼尺寸可调节，可适用井眼扩大的情况，尤其适用于小井眼中随钻扩大井眼作业，实现了“钻井、扩眼一趟钻”工艺。
KY type hydraulic Hole Opener is a new type of hydraulic variable diameter hole opener for drilling or workover operations. It is operated by controlling the mud pump switch at the wellhead to adjust the hydraulic pressure drop in the drill string and realize the opening and withdrawal of the blade. In other words, when the pump is opened, the pump pressure is used to push the piston to overcome the spring thrust upward and drive the blade to slide upward and open in the chute of the housing. When the pump is stopped or the drill tool is lifted up, under the action of spring thrust and wall friction, the blade of the tool moves down in the chute of the housing and withdraw to achieve the purpose of diameter change and reaming, so as to prevent the resistance or stuck when pulling out or tripping in. It has the advantages of reasonable structure, good wear resistance, adjustable reaming size, and can be used for hole enlargement, especially while drilling, realizing the process of "drilling and hole opening in one trip".
